Clients with a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) are eligible for Medicare rebate ($96.65) which will be processed online. Please ensure we have a copy of your referral letter from your GP, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist. With a MHTP you are eligible for 10 individual sessions in each calendar year. To start your referring doctor will refer for up to 6 sessions at a time. After the 6th session, we will send a progress letter to your referring doctor. If you need more, they will refer you for further sessions. We are not a bulk billing clinic. If you have private health insurance you may be able to get some money back, please check with your insurer.
Clients receiving services through TAC or WorkSafe have a gap fee* to pay at each session.
Both the APS National Schedule and AAPi recommend a fee of $315 for a 40 to 60-minute consultation for 2024-2025. However, we set our fees below this recommended amount to make our services more accessible.
The Service Process
-
Our initial session is centered around understanding your concerns, aspirations, and the specific challenges you're facing. This lays the foundation for our journey together.
-
Using evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Positive Parenting techniques, we cater our approach to fit individual and family needs.
-
Counselling and support sessions typically last 50 minutes. The number of sessions required will vary based on individual circumstances and goals.
-
At our clinic, we prioritise your convenience and security. That's why we use COVIU for our telehealth sessions. With COVIU, you don't need to download or install any software. You’ll need to grant COVIU access to your microphone and camera for it to work. Simply access our session link from any device - whether it's your mobile, computer, or laptop - and you're all set for our consultation. Your ease is our commitment.
Your Session
-
To maximise the benefits of your session, consider making a list of topics or concerns you wish to discuss. This can serve as a guide and help address primary challenges during our time together.
-
Feedback & Reflection
After each session, it can be beneficial to reflect on the discussions, insights, and strategies shared. This reflective practice aids in internalising the therapeutic process.
Tailored Strategies
Based on our discussions, you'll receive personalised strategies, tools, or exercises to implement in your daily life or specific situations.
